pet's sacred passage doula

My Story

Perhaps my first solo adventure happened when I was a toddler of two years. A cat had wandered into our front yard, and while my mom was busy tending to my baby brother, I followed the cat on his meanderings down my street, around the block to the house which stood directly behind ours. Luckily for me, the little old lady who lived in that house recognized me. She brought both the cat and me inside her home and called my mother. Those were the days when we had our neighbor’s phone numbers. The days of block parties and drinking water from the garden hose. I had no idea how far I had traveled, only that I wanted to pet the pretty little kitty.

From that moment, my bond with animals became woven into the very fabric of who I am—I cannot remember a self without that connection.

I still recall the days I lived in a humble mud hut along the Malabar coast of South India, when stepping outside my door brought me face-to-face with a tiny life in need. A small puppy, whimpering and wriggling, had appeared as if summoned by some unseen hand. She bore a raw, infected wound on her back, was riddled with parasites, and dangerously dehydrated. I spent months nursing her back to health, and slowly, gently, I convinced my landlord’s family that she would be the perfect companion for their dog, Raja. It seemed an invisible sign hung above my door, readable only by creatures in need because once the puppy thrived, Raja arrived seeking care for an infected wound, and soon after, a third little puppy appeared. In those moments, I felt the quiet magic of trust and kinship, and I awakened to the call to help animals.

Because of their purity, their innocence, their loyalty, their unconditional love, and because they are so adorable in all their wild ways, I wish to help them and the humans they have chosen to love.

Animal Intuitive Readings

$110 USD - 60 minutes | $290 - 3 session bundle | In person or online

Our pets feel and carry more than we often realize. Sometimes they are affected by shifts in our own lives, and other times they face struggles we cannot easily see because we don’t share the same language.

Animals often trust me to listen and understand. Through intuitive connection, I help uncover what your companion may be experiencing and offer insights to restore balance and harmony for both of you.

What Clients Are Saying

  • Heather cared for our four-year-old chihuahua minpin, Taffy, and our fifteen-year-old black cat, Spooky, in our home for three weeks. Heather went above and beyond in meeting all of their needs. Our cat was always satisfied with food, water and lots of petting. Our dog enjoyed a lot of attention, walks, and playtime. Heather communicated with us daily to let us know how things were going back at home. When we returned, our house was clean and organized! I’ve always known Heather to express a lot of love toward animals, and it feels good to be comfortable with her in our home and with our pets.

  • From early on in our friendship I always could see the connection Heather had with animals – both in knowing how to intuit their feelings as well as helping them in their moments of need. One of the most distinct memories I have is when we found an injured pregnant sheep outside her Hawaii home. Heather immediately guided us to pray over her together until the sheep took her very last breath. Ever since then, I have begun to notice that animals gravitate to Heather – as if they seek her out because they know she will understand what they have to communicate and that she will take her time to truly give them her loving care and attention. From dogs and cats that she discovers in her travels and forms special bonds with, to being frequently asked to care for pets, it is clear that both animals and humans alike recognize the distinct gift she has that makes her an amazing animal empath.

  • Heather has a deep reverence and respect for all of nature, especially the animal kingdom. I’ve witnessed the animals she works with respond to her with a reciprocal sense of knowing, respect, and understanding. She has aided my family on numerous occasions – communing with my beloved dog who had recently passed in order to share a comforting message with my husband and me, and also connecting with our family dog in the physical world to ease her fears and help her understand things that seemed to confuse her. My husband and I are deeply grateful for Heather and the way she shares her gifts.
